Mizoram, situated in the high hills of the North-East Corner of India is a small state endowed with endless variety of landscape, hilly terrains, meandering streams, rich wealth of flora and fauna and many more to choose from. It was one of the districts of Mizoram till 1972 but became a union territory of India thereafter. This tiny land achieved its statehood and became the 23rd state of India only on 20 Feb, 1987.
Sandwiched between Myanmar in the east and south and Bangladesh in the west, Mizoram enjoys an area of great strategic importance in the north-eastern corner of India. Aizwal, the capital of the state is perched along a ridge and is home of the Mizo tribes. The state is known all over the world for its kind hearted and hospitable people.
