Mizoram Police
Mizoram is a relatively peaceful place compared to other states of the North-East barring a few cases of insurgency. Mizoram Police toils day and night to maintain peace and order especially in the border which it shares with Myanmmar and Bangladesh. With a force of more than 12,000 officers, the Mizoram Police guards and protects its people.

The Fire Service Organization of Mizoram was found in 1972. The organization fully equipped with modern equipments. At present the organization provides its service in four districts viz. Aizawl, Serchhip, Saiha and Kolasib.

Electricity in Mizoram
The state of Mizoram has the Power & Electricity Department, Government of Mizoram, headquartered in Aizawl which oversees the electricity and power requirement throughout the state. There are also electricity offices in different towns of Mizoram which monitors electricity supply in respective towns.
The Power and Electricity Department which was formed in 1975 is responsible for the transmission and distribution of power to the whole state. According to 2011 census, Mizoram consumes 219 kwh and the department now serves more than two lakh consumers.
